Power Off Procedure
If you wish to power down the subsystem, please follow these steps:
NOTE:
If you wish to power down the subsystem, please ensure that no time-
consuming processes, like “Regenerate Logical Drive Parity” or a “Media
Scan,” are taking place.
Step 1. Stop I/O access to the system.
Close your applications running on the host computers
to stop all I/O access to the subsystem.
Step 2. Flush the cache.
Locate the C_Dirty LED on the back of controller
module to check if there is still cached data in memory.
Use the “Shutdown Controller” function to flush all
cached data. This prepares the RAID subsystem to be
safely powered down.
Step 3. Turn off the power.
Power off the subsystem using the power switch on
each PSU. Once the subsystem is powered down, other
devices/enclosures that are connected to the subsystem
can be sequentially powered down.
