When plugged in and operated for the first time, there may be a little momentary smoking.
This occurs when the coating around the heating element is heated for the first time. This is not
dangerous for the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit. When using the appliance for
the first time, keep it working until the smoke dissipates. smoke dissipates after about 30 seconds.
