Thank you for choosing our Electronic Baby Scales Gamma
TM
. They will help you monitor the
growth of your baby, accurately and reliably quantifying how much milk has been assimilated at
each feed, taking up to 0 kg, and with 10g divisions. The TARE function allows you to weigh the
baby using a soft cloth or towel. The scales come with a useful WEIGHTBLOCK function that allows
a steady weight to be displayed despite the child wriggling about.
We are sure that having appraised worthily the high quality and reliability of this device you will
become a regular user of the products of Gamma Trade Mark.
Before starting to use the scales please study the instruction book carefully. Following the rules
stated in the instruction book will provide for the faultless operation of the scales for a long period
of time.
attEntIon!
• Handle your scales with care as a precision instrument.
• Avoid to expose them to extreme temperatures, damp, knocks, dust and direct sunlight.
• Keep the scales away from sources of heat.
• Take care that no liquids penetrate into the scales, as they are not waterproof.
• Do not leave or use the scales in very damp surroundings, humidity above 85% or contact with
water and other liquid parts could cause corrosion and jeopardize the precision of the scales.
• Do not drop the scales or knock on them.
• Clean the platform with a damp cloth. Clean the bottom of the scales with just a soft dry cloth.
To clean the scales never use chemical or abrasive products.
InstallInG BattErIEs
Use a 9V alkaline battery only. Remove the battery cover on the underside of the scales. Insert the
battery and refit the cover. Do not throw the batteries away together with your normal domestic
rubbish. Take them to a used battery bin.
WEIGHInG
Place the scales on a flat and hard surface. A soft and uneven floor(e.g. carpets, linoleum) could
cause an alteration to the weight reading.
FunctIon kEYs
on/oFF/tara
The ON/OFF/TARA button is for switching the scale on and off and for using the TARE function. Use
the TARE function if you intend to place the baby on a towel or soft cloth. In this case, switch on the
scales by pressing the ON/OFF/TARA button. The display shows “8888”. Wait until the display shows
“0.00” then place the towel or cover on the plate. Press the ON/OFF/TARA key and wait until the dis-
play shows “0.00”; the scales are now ready for use. To switch off the scales press the ON/OFF/TARA
button, otherwise the scales will automatically shut off after 0 seconds.
sElEct unIt (sEl. unIta)
Press this key to select the unit of measure you require: kg or pounds. Those scales have a capacity
of 0 kg, division 10 g or 44.40 pounds, division 1/ oz. After switching on the scales, if the display
shows 0.00 and a triangle at the top left of the display the weighing will be in kilos and grams;
if the display shows 0:0 and a triangle at the bottom left of the display the weighing will be in
pounds and ounces. To select the required unit of measurement, switch on the scales and press
the SEL.UNITA button.

Due to the baby moving, the weight shown on the display changes all the time. When the baby is
laid on the plate, press the “HOLD” key. The display shows “hold” and the scales automatically cal-
