keypad lock

The KEYPAD LOCK function allows the user to LOCK the Display Panel, 

preventing any changes to the programming. This will ensure accidental 

button pressing by pets, children or others will not alter the desired 

programming.

To Engage Keypad Lock:

1) Press and hold the UP Arrow & DOWN Arrow buttons simultaneously

    for 2 seconds

     a) The LCD will display the KEYPAD LOCK icon       and the Display Panel

          is now locked

2) Follow the same steps to unlock the Display Panel

Note: Turning the unit off and on by the POWER BUTTON, will automatically 

unlock the KEYPAD LOCK.

The MANUAL FEED function allows the user to instantly feed their pet 

between programmed MEAL TIMES. By pressing the MANUAL FEED button, 

food will be dispensed until the MANUAL FEED or ENTER button is pressed. 

Note: Pressing the MANUAL FEED button will not reduce or affect future 

programmed Meal Times or Meal Sizes.

1) Press the MANUAL FEED button

    a) The manual feed LED will illuminate

    b) The LCD display will show the amount of food dispensed

2) Press ENTER or MANUAL FEED to stop dispensing food

Note: The MANUAL FEED function will automatically terminate if 8 Ounces 

(224 Grams) is dispensed to avoid over-filling the bowl.

The 12/24 function allows the user to select between displaying a 12 or 24-

Hour clock format. The 12-Hour clock will display AM for morning hours and 

PM for evening hours. 

Note: Changing the clock display format will not change any MEAL TIMES 

previously programmed.

1) Press “12/24” to toggle between 12 or 24-Hour clock.

Note: AM or PM will disappear if 24-Hour clock is enabled.

oz/g

The OZ/G function allows the user to select the measurement of weight they 

prefer, Ounces or Grams.

 

Note: The unit will automatically recalculate the proper MEAL SIZE when 

switching between Ounces or Grams.

1) Press “OZ/G” to toggle between Ounces or Grams

Tip: If cups is a more familiar food portion, refer to CALCULATING MEAL SIZE 

FROM OUNCES OR GRAMS TO CUPS. (page 5)

The POWER BUTTON allows the user to turn off the unit while maintaining 

the user defined CLOCK, MEAL TIME and MEAL SIZE Programming. This is 

helpful when you want to temporarily suspend dispensing meals, like an out 

of town trip. 

When in Off Mode, meals WILL NOT dispense. Programming will be saved if 

power is connected through Power Supply or Battery Backup. 

1) Press and hold the POWER BUTTON for 2 seconds to turn unit off

    a) Note: The LCD Display will go blank while in the Off Mode

2) Follow the same steps to turn the unit back on

    a) Display will show current time when on. User defined CLOCK, MEAL TIME 

         and MEAL SIZE programming will be retained, and feeder will dispense.

IMPORTANT: When the unit is in Off Mode NO FOOD WILL BE DISPENSED!

The LCD Display will flash FILL when the unit is low on food. This will indicate 

the feeder is down to 10-15% capacity. 

Note: Once the Food Hopper has been refilled, the FILL warning will 

automatically go away.
