There are one or more sections used during calibration based on the number of ranges for the power device. This
section is used during calibration to measure the AC response of the entire system and to correct the system for a
neutral response as much as possible. Make sure the voltage produced is within the capability of both the power
device and the LPI. Make sure that the total DC and AC amplitudes do not exceed the capability of the power
device. In the case of an electronic load, the DC amplitude must be at least 2 times the AC amplitude to ensure
that the current never drops below 0. Electronic loads also require a power source to be able to source the
current. The total AC + DC amplitudes cannot exceed the maximum current capability of the power source. Ohm’s
law, V=IR, dictates the voltage that will be produced for a given IApplied. The example below depicts the
information for a BP4610 power supply from NF Corporation. Each of the keys for this section will be discussed
below.
