DDC:
The Display Data Channel (DDC) is a communication inter-
face between monitor and graphics card.
The monitor’s DDC information enable the operating system
to configure the monitor driver automatically.
Dual link:
A dual link cable uses 24+1 contacts.
Dual link connections allow monitor resolutions up to
2560 x 1600@60 Hz.
DVI-D:
DVI (Digital Visual Interface) is an interface that digitally
transmits video signals.
A single link cable uses 18+1 contacts; dual link, however,
uses 24+1 contacts.
Cascading:
Cascading means interlinking several modules of a system.
The
DVISplitter2
video extender therefore enables to extend
the distance to be bridged and increase the number of connec-
table monitors.
Single link:
A single link cable uses 18+1 contacts.
Single link connections allow monitor resolutions up to
1920 x 1200@60 Hz.
