Configuration of Offline Emergency Mode for a GAT Access 6100
In Offline Emergency mode, it is possible to read data from any block within any sector of a data carrier. With a
configurable mask the read data can be separated into relevant and non-relevant data. The check for access
authorization in Offline Emergency mode is then done by comparing the relevant data with a predefined result value.
If the relevant data matches exactly the defined result value, access is granted. Otherwise, access is denied.
To use Offline Emergency mode, an Offline License from GANTNER Electronic GmbH is required. To receive this
license, send the serial number and MAC address of the GAT Access 6100 to GANTNER in order to generate the
license code. The license code can then be entered into the GAT Access 6100 using GAT Config Manager. The
following instructions explain how to configure Offline Emergency Mode in GAT Config Manager.
For more information on GAT Config Manager, see "5.4. Configuration Settings".
1. Firmware version 2.6.0 or later must be installed in the GAT Access 6100. Instructions on how to update the
firmware are provided in chapter "7 UPDATING THE GAT ACCESS 6100".
2. In GAT Config Manager, enter the Site Key information in the configuration option "Reader" -> "MIFARE" -> "Site
key" or "Reader" -> "LEGIC" -> "Site key" respectively.
