Factory settings
The torque and angle wrench is supplied with the
following factory settings:
Menu language German
All menus shown
Password protection switched off
Automatic switching off after 15 min.
Alert limit 80 %
Standard extension length (depending on model)
On resetting to the factory settings, all of the
fastener data contained in the internal torque
and angle wrench memory are deleted. Back
the fastener data up before resetting if
necessary.
Proceed as follows to reset the torque and angle
wrench to the factory settings:
Connect the torque and angle wrench to the PC.
Start the TWdrive software installed on the PC.
Switch the torque and angle wrench on.
Select the "Settings" tab.
Select the "Parameters" tab.
Click onto the "Factory settings" button.
Confirm the prompt.
The torque and angle wrench is reset to the factory
settings.
Changing the menu language
The following menu languages can be loaded in the
internal torque and angle wrench memory:
German (factory setting)
English
Italian
Spanish
French
To change the menu language, the TWdrive
software must be installed on a PC.
Only one menu language is ever available in
the torque and angle wrench at any one time.
The menu language installed using the TWdrive
software replaces the menu language available
in the torque and angle wrench.
Connect the torque and angle wrench to the PC.
Start the TWdrive software installed on the PC.
Switch the torque and angle wrench on.
Select the "Settings" tab.
Select the "Parameters" tab.
Select the desired menu language in the "Torque
wrench language setting" area.
Click onto the "Save data in torque and angle
wrench" symbol.
The torque and angle wrench settings are updated.
The torque and angle wrench switches off and then
switches on again automatically.
Setting the time for automatic shut-off
A time after which the torque and angle wrench
switches off automatically when not in use can be
set.
To set this time, the TWdrive software must be
installed on a PC.
Connect the torque and angle wrench to the PC.
Start the TWdrive software installed on the PC.
Switch the torque and angle wrench on.
Select the "Settings" tab.
Select the "Parameters" tab.
Enter the desired time for automatic switching off
in the "Auto shut-off" area.
If 0 minutes is input, "Auto shut-off" is
deactivated. The torque and angle wrench has
to be switched off manually.

Click onto the "Save data in torque and angle
wrench" symbol.
The torque and angle wrench settings are updated.
The torque and angle wrench switches off and then
switches on again automatically.
Setting password protection
Access to the configuration menu can be protected
by means of an administrator password.
The administrator password may only be assigned
or changed using the TWdrive software.
No administrator password is set on delivery.
A maximum of four digits are available for the
administrator password. Only numbers may be
used.
Connect the torque and angle wrench to the PC.
Start the TWdrive software installed on the PC.
Switch the torque and angle wrench on.
Select the "Settings" tab.
Select the "Parameters" tab.
Mark the "Password activated" check box in the
"Password protection" area.
Set four numbers for the administrator password.
Click onto the "Save data in torque and angle
wrench" symbol.
The torque and angle wrench settings are updated.
The torque and angle wrench switches off and then
switches on again automatically.
Disconnecting the torque and angle
wrench from the PC
Proceed as follows to disconnect the torque and
angle wrench from the PC after data transfer:
Remove the micro USB connector from the torque
and angle wrench PC connection socket.
Seal the PC connection socket with the cover.
Using the torque and angle
wrench
Carry out the desired settings for the bolting
operation as shown in the flow charts in the
practical examples from page 44.
Alternatively, load the sequence plans or
individual bolting operations created using the
TWdrive software into the torque and angle
wrench memory and call these up.
Before beginning a bolting process with the torque
and angle wrench, the torque and angle wrench has
to be tared as described on page 23.
WARNING
Incorrect measurements due to moving
or loading the torque and angle wrench
during the taring process.
Make sure that the torque and angle
wrench is not moved or loaded
during taring.
Actuating the torque and angle wrench
WARNING
Danger of severe or fatal injuries due
to incorrect measured values.
Make sure that the torque value is
set correctly prior to use.
Make sure that the insert and/or
plug-in tool which is used is seated
securely prior to use.
