BATTERY CHARGER TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Bad connection between plug and electrical
outlet.
Check connections and connect
securely.
The charging switch is not in the ON
position.
Follow the procedure for putting the
charging switch into the ON position.
There is no power to the building electrical
outlet.
Check power supply or find a working
outlet.
Does not charge.
The red LED does
not come on.
Something is wrong with the input end of the
battery charger.
Arrange to have checked and repaired.
Remove the nonconformity and follow
the procedure for replacing the fuse
(See P. 15)
If the fuse continues to blow, service
should be arranged.
The output fuse
has blown
The wiring at the output
end of the charger is
disconnected.
The batteries have
been connected with
the (+) and the (-) in the
wrong positions
Defective batteries (at
the end of their life etc.)
Replace fuse.
Replace batteries.
Bad connection between charging socket
and charging plug or no connection at all.
