Release the red Safety device for stopping the engine lever

Put the machine in the “Machine off” condition (see para 2.2.2).

Immediately report the emergency to the “Safety Manager” or site manager.

7.9- CLEANING THE MACHINE
After digging, clean the machine as follows:
1) Move the machine as indicated in para 7.6 to a safe and dry area;
2) Clean the machine, tools and parts in contact with the excavated material using suitable equipment (spatulas,
soft brushes, dry cloths, etc.).
7.10- EMERGENCY STOPPING
To make an emergency stop, release the red Safety device for stopping the engine lever (see Fig. 2 pos. 1);
To avoid hazardous situations that can arise immediately or that have already arisen, the operator must perform
the operations indicated in TAB. 16.
7.11- STARTING AFTER AN EMERGENCY STOP
Only after eliminating the cause/s of the emergency, carefully ensuring they have not caused damage and/or
faults to the machine, and obtaining the permission of the “Safety Manager” or site manager can the machine be
turned on again as indicated in para 7.5.
7.12- PROLONGED DISUSE OF THE MACHINE
When the machine is not used for a long period of time, proceed as follows:
1) Clean the machine (see para 7.9) and touch up any scratches with suitable paint in order to prevent rusting. If
necessary, replace any damaged components with original spare parts (see chap. 11);
2) perform the following routine maintenance operations: Replace the engine oil and the gear reducer oil (see
chap. 8);
3) Check and clean the air and fuel filters. Replace if necessary (see chap. 8);
4) Drain the fuel tank and pour in “washing” fuel;
5) Grease the parts indicated in chap.8.
6) Cover the parts subject to rusting and sliding (trench chain, jack pins, jib, etc.) with suitable products, such as
spray grease or anti-oxidants.
7.13- STARTING THE MACHINE AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE
1) Drain the “washing” fuel from the tank and fill with UNLEADED PETROL (see Tab. 6 para 3.10);
2) Replace the fuel filter (see attached HONDA engine manual).
