If it is working properly, a spark should be visible between 

the electrodes.

Silencer/exhaust opening

Do not retighten the screws on the silencer if the mo-

tor is hot.

1.  Check on a regularly basis that the screws (D) in the si-

lencer (7) have not come undone. If they are loose, tight-

en them hand tight.

2.  Clean the exhaust opening (E) regularly. 

Care

Clean the hedge trimmer carefully after every use, so that it 

continues to work properly.

Wear protective gloves when cleaning the cutter!

•  Clean the housing with a soft brush or a dry cloth.

Water, solvent and polish may not be used.

•  Make sure that the ventilation slots for cooling the motor 

remain unobstructed (risk of overheating).

•  Clean the cutter regularly with a cloth or brush.

Do not clean the cutter with water, due to the risk of 

corrosion.

•  Clean and oil all moving parts on a regular basis.

Do not use grease for this purpose! 

Use environmen-

tally compatible oil.

TRANSPORT

Switch the motor off to transport the tool and, once the cut-

ter has come to a standstill, attach the blade cover (26).
Carry the tool by the front hand grip. While doing so, hold 

the cutter facing backwards and keep the hot silencer away 

from the body.
Only transport the tool in a car, inside the boot or in a sepa-

rate transport area. When doing so, secure the hedge trim-

mer against tipping over, damage and leaking fuel.

STORAGE

•  Keep the tool in a dry, locked place, with the blade cover 

(26) applied, when it is not being used, and out of the 

reach of children.

•  Before extended storage, please note the following in or-

der to extend the service life of the hedge trimmer and 

guarantee smooth running:

Perform thorough cleaning

Treat all moving parts with environmentally friendly oil. 

Do not use grease for this purpose.

Remove the spark plug connector.

Slide the blade guide onto the cutter.

Fully empty the fuel tank. 

Dispose of leftover fuel in an environmentally friendly 

manner.

Allow the carburettor to run empty.
