8. First aid
In case of accident make sure that a first-aid box is
available in the vicinity of the cutting operations.
Immediately replace any item taken from the first aid box.
When asking for help, please give the following
information:
- Place of accident
- What happened
- Number of injured persons
- Kind of injuries
- Your name
NOTE
People with circulatory disorders may experience injury
to blood vessels or the nervous system if exposed to
excessive vibration.
Vibration may cause the following symptoms in the
fingers, hands or wrists: Numbness, tingling, pain,
throbbing sensation, change in color of the skin or skin
changes.
If any of these symptoms, see a doctor!
Vibrations
After a long period of use of the machine, the vibration
may cause a disturbance of the blood supply of hands
("White finger disease").
It is not possible to set a valid period of use in general,
since the effect of vibration depends on several factors.
The following precautions help to prolong the duration of
use:
- Keep hands warm (wear warm gloves);
- Take breaks.
The following factors shorten duration of use:
- Personal tend to suffer
a poor blood supply
(symptoms: frequently cold fingers, tingling);
- Use at low temperatures
ambient;
- Force exerted on the handles (a taken very strong
discomfort irrigation blood).
If the machine is used regularly for long periods and that
symptoms listed above (eg. tingling fingers) occur
repeatedly, it is recommended to listen to by a doctor.
