5.5.1 Manner of operation of the suction regulator
Load running mode
When switching over to delta connection the
two solenoid valves (7 (Y1) and 9 (Y4)) are
supplied with power. The relief spool (11) is
closed. At the same time compressed air flows
through the pipe (20) into the
upper control chamber of the actuator. The suction regulator
valve opens, the lower control chamber is bled through the
pipe (22) by the solenoid valve (7 (Y1).

Idling mode
As soon as mains pressure has been
attained, both solenoid valves (7 (Y1) and 9
(Y4)) are de-energized. The actuator is
closed via the pipes (21) and (22). At the
same time the relief spool (11) opens and
relieves
the oil separator reservoir via the pipes (16) and (23). A small
amount of air is sucked in through the bypass valve (15).
