The working area has a 15 metre radius around the
machine and should be considered a risk area were
nobody should enter whilst the machine is working
(security area). When necessary, use rope or signals to
mark the working area.
Maintain children, other people and animals well clear
of the machine whilst working.
Distractions can cause the loss of control. Be vigilant
and stop any children, other people and animals
coming into the working area.
When work must be carried out by two or more people
at the same time make sure you can control and
see the other people so as to maintain an adequate
working distance between users to guarantee security.
Maintain the work area clean and work under well lit
conditions. Only use this machine in daylight or good
artificial light. Untidy and dark working areas, cause
accidents. Check and remove all objects that may
cause damages to you or to your machine.
2.4. OIL AND PETROL SECURITY
IMPORTANT: Petrol and oil are highly
flammable.
Should the petrol or the oil catch
fire, use a dry powder fire extinguisher.
Petrol and oil are dangerous, avoid contact of oil or
petrol with skin and eyes. Do not inhale or drink.
If
oil or petrol has been drunk, visit your doctor straight
away. If you come into contact with petrol or oil, clean
yourself with plenty of water and soap as soon as
possible. If after this, you still feel your eyes or skin
are itchy visit your doctor straight away.
Do not refill the machine in a closed
area.
The petrol and oil vapours all
contain dangerous chemical substances.
In case of gas concentration due to insufficient
ventilation, eliminate from the work area everything
that impedes the correct flow of air and do not work
in this area again until it is well ventilated and the gas
concentration does not happen again.
Petrol and/or oil are highly flammable and
explosive under certain circumstances.
Do not smoke and do not come close to the
flames, sparks or heat sources. Do not smoke when
handling fuel, when refilling or when working
Do not refill in areas where there are flames, sparks or
heat sources. Do not smoke while refilling. Fill deposit
in well ventilated areas and with the engine stopped.
Do not overfill the petrol deposit. In case of petrol
leakage please ensure you eliminate these before
starting.
Move the machine away from the area of spillage
and avoid creating any source of ignition until petrol
vapours have dissipated.
Refill fuel before to start the machine. Do not unscrew
the combustible tank cap while the engine is running
or engine is hot.
Ensure the petrol cap is correctly closed whilst you
use the machine. Ensure you close the petrol cap
correctly after refilling.
Ensure the oil cap is correctly closed whilst you use
the machine. Ensure you close the oil cap correctly
after refilling.
Store excess petrol and oil in homologated recipients
in accordance with European normative.
Do not use petrol that has been stored for over two
months. Petrol that has been stored for too long will
make the start up of the machine more complicated
