Searching for a Waypoint or City
The Waypoints category lists all of the
waypoints you have created and saved. For
complete information about creating and edit-
ing waypoints, see the “Creating and Using
Waypoints” section beginning on page 24.
The Cities category allows you to search for
any city listed in the database (either in the
basemap or installed detailed map data).
To find a waypoint or city:
1. Open the Find Menu.
2. Highlight the
Waypoint
or
Cities
icon and
press
ENTER
to display the results list.
3. Use the
Rocker
key to scroll up and down the
list to find a point/city. Press the
MENU
key to
display a list of search options.
•
Find By Name
allows you to enter the
name of the waypoint in a search field.
•
Find Nearest
allows you to search for
points/cities near your current location.
•
Select Symbol
allows you to search for
waypoints of a specific type.
•
Change Reference
allows you to use the
Panning Arrow to select a point on the map
other than your current location.
4. Once you have found the item you are looking
for, press
ENTER
to view the information page.
You can edit the data or select
Go To
and
press
ENTER
to navigate to the point/city.

to view the
information
page.
