CHT, EGT, and TIT are red X’d
(no other field is red X’d)
a.
Ensure the GEA configuration module and thermocouple wiring
and pins are not damaged.

Replace the GEA configuration module and thermocouple.
One or more CHT, EGT, or TIT
temperatures drop as electrical
load increases
•
Check temperature probe(s) for shorts on the low side of the
thermocouple (usually where bayonet is crimped).
•
Replace temperature probe(s).
One or more CHT, EGT, or TIT
temperatures drift up and flag
Check for an open temperature probe or open wiring and replace
and/or correct.
Fuel quantity flags intermittently
•
Check for an open in the wiring and connectors between the
GEA, signal conditioner, and the sender (hi, low, or signal
ground lines).
•
Check fuel sender for an open or dead spot.
•
For capacitance systems, refer to the airframe maintenance
manual for troubleshooting information.
Engine instruments are missing
on the MFD
Clear user data on each GDU by holding down the CLR button
while powering on each GDU. Keep the other display off while
clearing user data.
Discharged standby battery
indication
Perform the GEA 70 High Side Current Monitor Calibration
Procedure.
