The
GMC
705
is
a
panel
‐
mounted
user
interface
that
enables
the
aircraft’s
flight
crew
to
control
the
GFC
700
Automatic
Flight
Control
System
(AFCS).
The
GMC
705
has
nine
mode
‐
select
keys
and
a
thumbwheel
encoder.
The
GMC
705
sends
(over
an
RS
‐
232
serial
data
bus)
the
switch
status
information
to
be
used
elsewhere
in
the
Perspective™
System.
The
CDU
(Control
Display
Unit)
defines
the
functionality
of
the
user
inputs,
the
GMC
only
reports
which
buttons
are
pressed
or
encoder
turns.

Trim
Adapter
is
a
remote
mounted
device
that
is
used
to
allow
the
GFC

drive
a
trim
actuator

by

manufacturer.

required
interface.
