1.6 Operating Instructions
The GSU 75 and GMU 44 are remote-mount LRUs with no user controls or indicators. All user interface
is accomplished through a compatible display device. The GSU 75 and GMU 44 provide flight altitude,
airspeed, attitude, and heading data that is communicated to the display device. Loss of any of this data is
communicated to the pilot by system messages. Upon system power up, the absence of GSU 75/GMU 44
system messages indicate that the GSU 75/GMU 44 are fully operational. There are no further GSU 75/
GMU 44 specific operational procedures.
For GX000 installations, refer to the applicable airframe specific pilot documentation for operating
instructions (available at
).
1.7 Reference Documentation
The publications listed in Table 1-10 are sources of additional information for installing the GSU 75.
Before installing the GSU 75, the technician should read all referenced materials applicable to the
installation along with this manual.

Installation Manual rather than on the article itself.
5. Garmin was granted a deviation from TSO-C6d to list the DO-178B software level in
the Installation Manual rather than on the article itself.
ETSO-C6d
1. Garmin was granted a deviation from ETSO-C6d to use RTCA DO-160D instead of
SAE AS 8013 as the standard for Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Air-
borne Equipment.
2. Garmin was granted a deviation from ETSO-C6d to use SAE AS 8013A instead of SAE
