4. Touch the
Enter
key to accept the selected value. The selected
value will be shown in the
Field Elevation
key.
5. Touch the
Use DEST APT
key to automatically use the field
elevation of the destination airport of the active flight plan for
traffic reporting.
NOTE:
Activating the Use DEST APT feature automatically uses the
elevation for the current destination airport for the TCAD. If no destination
airport is present in the GTN system, the TCAD will not receive a field
elevation and therefore not automatically enter approach mode.
En Route, Standard, or Terminal Shield Type
1.
While viewing the TCAD Control menu, touch the
Shield Type
key and touch the desired Shield Type: Enroute, Standard, or
Terminal.
