Transferring Files to Your 

Computer

Before you can transfer files, you must 

connect the device to your computer 

(

page 41

).

1.  Browse your computer for the file.
2.  Select the file.

drive/volume.

Deleting Files

Notice

Your device memory contains 

important system files and folders that 

should not be deleted. 

Before you can delete files, you must 

connect the device to your computer

1.  Open the “Garmin” drive or 

volume.

2.  If necessary, open a folder or 

volume.

3.  Select the files.
4.  Press the 

Delete

 key on your 

keyboard. 

Disconnecting the USB Cable

1.  Complete an action:

•  For Windows computers, click 

the eject icon   in your system 

tray.

•  For Mac computers, drag the 

volume icon to the Trash  . 

2.  Disconnect the device from your 

computer.
