Safety Notes
▪
When spraying plant protection products (insecticides,
herbicides and fungicides) and when cleaning the unit,
always wear protective equipment according to the di-
rections of the manufacturer of the chemicals and follow their
guidelines. For some chemicals it is advisable to wear imper-
meable coveralls.
The work clothing must fit tightly and must not obstruct. Change
work clothing immediately if it is soiled with pesticides.
When working overhead, also wear a liquid-tight head covering.
Wear liquid-tight gloves and protective boots
with a grippy sole that are insensitive to pesti-
cides. Never work barefoot or only with sandals.
To reduce the risk of eye injury, wear tight-fitting
goggles and make sure the goggles fit properly.
If necessary, wear appropriate respiratory pro-
tection to prevent damage to health or allergic
reactions. Inhalation of pesticides may be hazardous to health.
▪
When handling plant protection agents, read the instructions for
use of the plant protection agent before each use and follow all
instructions regarding mixing, application, personal protective
equipment, storing and disposal of the chemical.
▪
Always observe legal regulations when handling plant protec-
tion agents. Plant protection products can contain components
that can be hazardous for people and animals and damage the
environment. There is a danger of poisoning and life-threatening
injuries!
▪
Never use liquid concentrates of pesticides undiluted. Only mix
and fill pesticides outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms. And, only
mix as much pesticide as is needed to avoid residual amounts.
Only mix different pesticides with each other if they have been
approved by the manufacturer. Note that mixing different non-
approved pesticides and incorrect mixing ratios can result in
toxic fumes or explosive mixtures.
