4.1 MAINTENANCE PLAN - Summary table
INTERVAL
TYPE OF WORK
WHEN THE MACHINE lS NEW
- Lubricate the transmission chains.
- After the fi rst hours of work check that all the bolts are still tight.
- Check the tightness of the bolts on the listers (A-B, Fig. 40).
AT THE BIGINNING OF
- Lubricate the transmission chains.
THE SEEDING SEASON
- Before every new season, change the gearbox oil with “ACER 22” (2 Kg) as follows:
oil drainage plug, 2 Fig. 41;
oil fi lling plug, 3 Fig. 41.
- Make sure that the transmission rotates freely without any interferences.
EVERY 20/30 WORKING HOURS
- Check the tightness of the bolts on the listers (A-B, Fig. 40).
- Clean and lubricate the transmission chains, the gears and the chain tensioner.
- Grease the screw on the central crank (Fig. 15).
EVERY 50 WORKING HOURS
- Clean the distributor carefully and thoroughly.

- Check the oil level in the gearbox and top up to level (1, Fig. 41) whenever necessary using the
same type of oil (ACER 22) whenever possible.
ATTENTION!!! While the gearbox is being adjusted or serviced, the screw must not be
touched for any reason (C, Fig. 41): this would alter the setting of the gearbox with an
adverse effect on distribution.
PERIODICALLY
- Check the pressure of the seed drill tyres: see «Technical Data» table.
EVERY FIVE YEARS
- To replace all the tubes of the hydraulic systems.
SETTING ASIDE
At the end of the season, or if a long period of rest is for seen it is advisable:
1) Carefully empty all the seed from the hopper and distribution assÕy (see cap 3.7).
2) Clean the equipment, the tank and the metering unit especially, with a large amount of water.
Then, dry it using jets of air.
3) Carefully check worn or damaged parts and replace if necessary.
4) Make sure that the metering unit can rotate without excessive efforts. Check the bearings, if
necessary
5) Tighten all screws and bolts.
6) Grease the dnve chains, oil all the drive chains, spread lubricant on all the parts not painted (Fig.

7) Protect the equipment with a (nylon) cover.
8) Then put it in a dry place, do not move it and where it is out of reach of un authorized people.
If these operations are done carefully, it will be to the total advantage of the user because when work is recommenced, he will fi nd
the equipment in perfect conditions.
