For operation the bean hopper is locked on the power base. Do not use violence, when att-

empting to remove the bean hopper or release the lock, to avoid damage.

Disassembling the Appliance

1. 

Unplug the appliance and remove the bean hopper lid.

2.  

Turn the bean hopper lock counterclockwise to unlock the bean hopper. Then lift the bean 

hopper up and out.

3.  

Remove the coffee beans from the bean hopper. Then reassemble the bean hopper and turn  

the bean hopper lock clockwise to lock the bean hopper in place.

4. 

Replace the bean hopper lid and insert the plug into the power outlet.

5.  

Press and hold the START | PAUSE | CANCEL button to run the milling works until it is empty, 

with no  more coffee powder coming out of the grind outlet.

6. 

Unplug the appliance, remove the bean hopper lid.

7. 

Unlock and remove the bean hopper.

 To avoid injuries, always unplug the appliance (screen gets dark), before gra

sping in the milling works.

8.  

Remove the burr sleeve. For this, grasp the metal shackle of the burr sleeve, and turn the burr 

sleeve counter-clockwise until the red arrow on the burr sleeve is pointing to ALIGN.Then lift 

the burr sleeve up and out.

9.  

Remove the grind catch tray from the power base. The grind catch tray is held in place via 

a magnet. You can simply pull it out.

Cleaning the Appliance

1.  

Wash all removable parts in warm dishwater. These are: grind catch tray, bean hopper and  

bean hopper lid and, when used, the cradle or grind container and grind container lid. 

2. 

Rinse with clear tap water and dry thoroughly.

3.  

Use the supplied cleaning brush or any other clean, hard and dry brush to clean the milling 

works, burr sleeve, and grind outlet.

4.  

Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft damp cloth. Thereafter, polish with a dry cloth.

5.  

Thereafter leave all parts dry naturally for at least 1 hour, where they are 

out of reach of 

young children

. You may dry the milling works and outlet of the bean hopper using a 

hair dryer.

6. 

Reassemble the appliance after cleaning as described below.

It is good advice to reassemble the appliance after cleaning. Thus you avoid damage to the 

parts of the appliance and the parts cannot get lost. Always ensure that the parts of the appli-

ance are completely dry, before reassembling.
