Usage
VACUUM MARINATE
Use this function for evacuating containers and for vacuum marinating.
• Shortly press the button to start evacuation of a vacuum container.
• To enter the MARINATE function, press the button for some seconds until the
vacuum pump starts working audibly and vertical bars are shown on the LCD
display (see: ‘Marinating’).
Vacuum containers are perfectly suited for marinating foods in a short time. This
is because the micro-holes of the foods are opened under low pressure, allowing
pickle infusion very quickly. Using this function, during 20 minutes the appliance
will run cycles of evacuating and ventilating the container. This way, foods will
get optimum marinade infusion in the least time duration. Additionally, due to the
especially short marinating time under low pressure, the growth of germs within
your food during marinating will be minimized.
The designated vacuum tube and a suited vacuum container is essential for using
these functions. Additionally, for vacuum marinating, a manually adjustable pres-
sure valve on the container lid is required. Ensure that the pressure valve is set to
“OPEN”, before starting the marinating process.
IMPORTANT: To prevent germs from getting into your food, it is good advice to
sterilize the vacuum container and container lid before filling in food.
Stop
You may cancel any sealing or evacuating process at any time you wish by pres-
sing the STOP button. The appliance will immediately stop operation and ventilate
the vacuum chamber or container.
NOTE: If you wish to terminate evacuation but seal the bag with the low pressure
already achieved, press the SEAL button. If you wish to terminate the evacuati-
on of a container with manually operated pressure valve at the already achieved
pressure, simply close the pressure valve of the container.

Press this button for selecting the unit: “g”, “oz”, or “lb”.
TARE
Tare function: subtracting the weight of the vessel automatically. The LCD display
will show zero again. Use this function to conveniently weigh your ingredients in
vessels or add further ingredients (see: ‘Subtracting the Weight of the Vessel’).
AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
For energy saving, the appliance will shut-off after being idle for more than 10
minutes.
For reactivating the appliance, simply press a button.
