3.4.3.2 MA-251A and MA-252A Remote Port
The RS-232 pins (pins 2 and 4) provide the remote port for ISiCL commands to the CM-95.

3.4.3.3 MA-251A and MA-252A RS-485 Port
The RS-485 pins (pins 1 and 6) provide “daisy-chain” connection for the remote port data signals to
multiple multiplexers at one location.

3.4.3.4 MA-251A/MA-252A Bias Resistor Settings
If the network topology consists of one or two DCS units, Figure 3-10 shows how the connections can
be made.

Normally, each DCS unit has an active bias resistor. However, if a DCS network is comprised of three
of more DCS units, only the first and last DCS units should have their bias resistor turned on (Figure
3-11).
