Adjusting the volume in Windows XP
You can use the volume controls to adjust the overall volume and the volume
of specific sound devices in your computer.
To adjust the overall volume level using hardware controls:

On the keyboard, press the volume system key combinations (F

) and

) to change the volume, or press the mute system key combination

UTE
) to turn off all sound.
To adjust the overall volume level from Windows:

Control Panel
. The
Control Panel
window opens. If
your Control Panel is in Category View, click
Sounds, Speech, and Audio
Devices
.
