Local Bus IDE Adapter allows you to configure your onboard hard
drive controller. It can be set to
[Disabled]
if you want to install your
own hard drive controller, to
[Primary]
if you only have one or two hard
drives installed, or to
[Both]
if you have three or four hard drives
installed.
•
Embedded PCI SCSI (For Server Ready Upgrade Kits) allows you to
turn on the SCSI adapter.
[Disabled]
to turn off,
[Enabled]
to turn on.
Select
[Scan First]
if booting from a hard disk, and
[Scan Last]
if
booting from a CD-ROM.
•
Embedded PCI SCSI mode allows you to designate the types of devices
used. Select
[8-bit]
for 8-bit devices only and
[8/16-bit]
for 8/16-bit
combinations or 16-bit devices only.
•
I2C Address defines the I2C address when
[Enabled]
.
•
UART 2 Mode sets the serial port to either
[Standard]
or
[IrDA]
.
Advanced Resource Control
From this sub-menu, you can set the memory allocation and interrupt allocation of
any PCI card installed in your system.
Advanced Chipset Control
•
DRAM Integrity Mode allows selection between
[Disabled]
,
[ECC
]
or
[Parity]
mode.
•
DRAM Speed configures your system to use the speed of DRAM that is
installed.
Memory Gap @ 15-MB
Set this parameter to
[Enabled]
if you wish to define a 1-MB memory hole at
15-MB for Banyan ISA cards.
Use Multiprocessor Specification
This parameter indicates the MP specification revision level.
Note:
Some operating systems will
require MP Specification 1.1
for compatibility reasons.
