To open the main menu, click or tap Start. From that
menu, you can run programs and search for files. For
more information on using Windows, see “Using
Windows” and “Customizing Your Notebook” in your
online User Guide.
Waking up your convertible notebook
When you have not used your convertible notebook for several
minutes or if you close the LCD panel without turning off your
convertible notebook, it may enter a power-saving mode called
Standby. While in Standby mode, the power indicator flashes.
If your convertible notebook is in Standby mode, press the
power button to “wake” it up.
Turning off your convertible
notebook
To turn off your convertible notebook:

Click or tap Start,
then click or tap Turn Off Computer.
The Turn Off Computer dialog box opens.

Click or tap Turn Off. Windows shuts down and turns off
your convertible notebook.

For more information about Standby mode, see
Important
If for some reason you cannot use the Turn Off option in Windows
to turn off your convertible notebook, press and hold the power button
for about five seconds, then release it.
