9. Maintenance and Care
You have to perform regular checks and maintenance work on your model helicopter to ensure its operational safety.
1.
Check if any screws have loosened or components are no longer firmly screwed on.
2.
Check the tooth backlash between the motor pinion and the main pinion. Particularly check if the motor has come loose
so that the teeth of the two pinions no longer interlock cleanly.
3.
Checking the tail rotor drive. All mechanical parts must force-interlock but still run smoothly.
4.
Observe clean run of the various shafts. Even slight ground contact of the rotor blades may lead to considerable shaft
deformation.
5.
Check all ball bearings for clean run. Bearings that issue a „rolling“ or „crunching“ feel when operated manually must
be replaced as well as any visibly damaged ball bearings.
6.
Check the auxiliary paddles. The paddles always have to be aligned precisely and the paddle rod must not be deformed.
7.
Check the correct and secure fit of the electronics components and the drive battery.
8.
Check all cables. Especially observe the connections between the speed controller and the motor.
Important!
If you have to replace any damaged or worn parts, only use genuine replacement parts in your helicopter.
The spare parts list is located on the website www.conrad.com in the download section for the respective device.
Alternatively, you may also request the spare parts list on the phone. For the contact data, please refer to the top of these
instructions in the chapter „Introduction“.
10. Disposal
a) General Information
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing
of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with adjacent symbol to indicate
that disposal in the household waste is prohibited. The descriptions for the respective heavy metal are: Cd=cadmium,
Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (the names are indicated on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. below the rubbish bin
symbol shown to the left).
You may return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official collection points of your community, in
our stores, or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
