before a Wash Cycle comes on. As an example, if you have Medium Duty equipment and the Ventilator is
not washing adequately, the Command Center may be re-programmed, for either the Extractor Wash and/or
Plenum Wash, to Heavy Duty, reducing the Hours of Fan Operation for the Extractor Wash from 12 hours to
4 hours and the Plenum Wash from 36 hours to 16 hours. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual
for the Gaylord Command Center for instructions on programming the times. Refer to the Troubleshooting
section page 4-2 for possible causes of inadequate cleaning.

Ventilator Section Wash Groups
The hot water pipe exiting the Wash Control Cabinet control is called the Main Feed Pipe. The Main Feed
Pipe is routed to the top of the Ventilator and then “tees” to two solenoid valves, one for the Extractor Wash
and one for the Plenum Wash (refer to page A-5 for an illustration). If there are two or more Ventilator sec

tions, the Main Feed Pipe branches off and is routed to each section where it connects to the two solenoid
valves. Each Ventilator section washes independently of each other so that, for example, a Ventilator over
