Provided you subscribe to Caller ID with Call Waiting service from your
phone company, you may see who is calling when you hear the call
waiting tone in the receiver. The CID information appears in the display
after you hear the tone.
Press the flash/program button on base or the flash/prog button on the
handset to put the current call on hold and answer the incoming call. Press
flash/program button on base or flash/prog on handset again when you
want to return to the first call.
IMPORTANT:
In order to use all of the features of this unit, you must
subscribe to either the standard Name/Number Caller ID Service or Call
Waiting Caller ID Service. To know who is calling while you are on the phone,
you must subscribe to Call Waiting Caller ID Service.

When the phone is not in use, the base displays the status of the
answering system. The default setting status of the answering machine is
on. If the answering system is turned off, then it displays
ANSWERER OFF.
The answering system stores up to 59 messages or up to 15 minutes of
messages (including the outgoing announcement). When the answering
system’s memory is full, the display shows
MEMORY FULL. Messages are
limited to three minutes in length of incoming calls.
• Press the answerer on/off button to turn the answering system on and
off. The display shows “
ANSWERER OFF ” when the answering system
is off. The default status is on. The new message indicator flashes when
you have new messages.
