Special Features of your Non-Self-Clean Electronic Oven Contro l
Your new Non-Self-Clean electronic oven control has additional special features that you may choose to use. Once
selected, these special features remain in the control’s memory (even after a power failure), until they are re-
programmed. The special feature modes can only be activated when the clock is displaying the time of day.
The following are the special features and how to select them:
Broiling
The control may be set to broil foods at a
“HIGH”
or
“LOW”
heat setting. The control will remain at the
selected heat setting until the
OFF
button is pressed, or
for a maximum of 12 hours.
How to broil
1. Leave the oven door open at the
‘BROIL STOP’
position
during broiling.
2. Press the
BROIL
button. (
000
will be displayed and a
BROIL
indicator will flash.)
3. Press the
UP ARROW
for
“HI”
broil, and the
DOWN
ARROW
for
“LO”
broil. (Use
“LO”
setting to
thoroughly cook foods such as chicken or thick chops
without over-browning.)
4. Five seconds after the
ARROW
button has been pressed
for the last time, the indicator will stop flashing, and
the broiling will begin.
5. Turn the food only once during broiling, at times
recommended in the broiling guide.
6. When broiling is finished, press the
OFF
button to
revert back to the time of day display.
Fahrenheit or Celsius oven temperature
selection
Your oven control is set to display the oven temperature
in degrees fahrenheit, but you may change it to use
degrees celsius.
1. Press the
BAKE
button.
2. Press the
UP/DOWN ARROW
button to set any
temperature other than 550˚F or 290˚C.
3. Before the flashing
‘BAKING INDICATOR’
stops
flashing, press and hold the
BAKE
button for seven
seconds. (Either
“F”
or
“C”
will be displayed.)
4. Press the
UP ARROW
button for degrees F, or the
DOWN ARROW
button for degrees C.
5. Five seconds after the
UP/DOWN ARROW
button has
been pressed for the last time, the desired selection
will be saved and the display will revert back to the
time of day.
Signal at the end of a timed operation
At the end of a timed operation, the control will signal
once that the timed event has ended. In addition, the
control can be programmed to give a one second signal
every 30 seconds for an additional 10 minutes after the
timed operation.
1. Press the
BROIL
button.
2. Press the
UP ARROW
button.
3. Before the
‘BROIL INDICATOR’
stops flashing, press
and hold the
BROIL
button for seven seconds. (Either
“ON”
or
“OFF”
will be displayed).
4. Press the
UP ARROW
button to display
“ON”
if you
want the control to signal every 30 seconds for 10
minutes after a timed operation.
5. Press the
DOWN ARROW
to display
“OFF”
if you want
the control to signal once at the end of a timed
operation.
6. Five seconds after the
UP/DOWN ARROW
button has
been pressed for the last time, the desired selection
will be saved and the display will revert back to the
time of day.
