12 Test both
pedals
for compression adjustment. Check that the
compression paddle stops automatically after a pressure of
approximately 110 N (24 lbs) is reached, with operator adjustment
knob set to minimum. If not, see section
Compression force and
speed adjustment
.
13 Check that the breast thickness
display
and the compression force
changes when driving the compression down.
14 Check that the
field light
is switched ON when the ‘down’ pedal is
pushed and goes OFF automatically after approximately 40 seconds.

15 Install a bucky and check that the
GRID
indicator lights up. Remove
the grid locking screw before use.
16 Install a magnification table and check that the
MAGN
indicator
lights up.
17 Turn the c-arm and notice that the reading in the angle display on
the c-arm changes.
CAUTION!
C-arm brake can get stuck during the long storage time. Press the brake
button to release the brake and use enough force to release the C-arm
rotation.
NOTE!
Following voltage measurements, and the soft start procedure
instructions are for trouble shooting purpose.
18 Verify that the typical voltages listed are present. Refer to repair
instructions in service manual for the location of the test points.
Voltages marked with * are unregulated.
