Transport
Introduction
This section outlines important information that must be considered when transporting
BioProcess LPLC and MPLC columns.
Transport in crate
Use a pallet jack or forklift truck with a minimum capacity to match the empty weight
of the column plus the transport box. Refer to Dimensions and weight, on page 94 for
information about column weight and dimensions.
Make sure that intended openings and apertures are large enough to allow
passage of the transport box when lifted from the floor for transport.
Note:
Moving when unpacked
•
BioProcess LPLC and MPLC columns can be rolled by hand on hard and level surfaces
with wheel brakes released.
•
If the floor quality does not allow rolling of the BioProcess LPLC or MPLC column on
its own wheels, it can be moved with a pallet jack or forklift.
Make sure that intended openings and apertures are large enough to allow
passage of the column.
Note:
If manouvering is performed with a pallet jack or forklift, make sure that there
is suffiecient clearance space to allow passage of the column when lifted from
the floor.
For minimum door aperture sizes, refer to the information provided in the
documentation kit.
