TRANSIENT RECORDER
CHAPTER 10: DIGITAL FAULT RECORDER
When set to “Trigger/Re-Trigger” or “Re-Trigger Only”, the transient recorder will be re-
triggered if the signal is still asserted at the end of the trigger period. The resulting record
will contain fault data only. A re-trigger is re-generated at the end of a transient record if
the signal is still asserted and if the number of re-triggers is less than the value specified
by the
Maximum Re-Triggers
setting.

Transient recorder analog channels
Up to 16 analog channels may be assigned to the transient recorder. Each channel may be
individually configured by clicking the analog channel
Select
button in the transient
recorder window to open the transient recorder analog channels window.

The following settings are available for each analog channel.
Available Signal
Range: any FlexAnalog™ quantity
Default: as shown above
This setting selects the FlexAnalog™ value to be recorded for the channel. The size of
each record depends in part on the number of parameters selected. Channels set to
“Off” are ignored.
