Gas hookup
THIS APPLIANCE CAN BE USED WITH L.P. OR NATURAL
GAS. IT WAS FACTORY ADJUSTED TO USE L.P. GAS AND
DESIGNED TO OPERATE AT A PRESSURE OF 2,75 kPa (11 in
C.A.) IF YOUR HOUSEHOLD SUPPLY IS NATURAL GAS,
THEN IT MUST PROVIDE A PRESSURE OF 1,76 kPa (7 in
W.C.)
Turn off the main gas supply valve
before disconnecting the range to
be replaced and leave it closed
until completing the new range
hook up.
Install a manual shut-off valve in
the main gas line at an accessible
location, outside the range. Make
sure everyone using the range
know how to operate this valve
and close it when necessary.
For the installation of your range,
use a 9,5 mm (3/8") NPT female
terminal nipple at the output of
the regulator and connect it to
copper tubing using 9,5 mm (3/8")
flare nuts.
Connect the shut-off valve and the
copper pipe ends using 9,5 mm (3/
8") couples. The flexible copper
pipe and/or hose must be 1,20 m
to 1,50 m long and must with-
stand temperatures above 250 °C
When all connections are com-
pleted, make sure all control knobs
are in the OFF position and open
the main gas supply valve.
Use soap and water on all joints
and connections to make sure
there are no leaks.
