LED Indications
LED indications provide a summary status for
all assigned STS-1 SPEs.
Line Port Green (L&R)
A steady green LED indicates that this Line
port is enabled and all SPEs received on
assigned SPE slots are OK.
The green LED off (and red on) indicates an
abnormal condition on at least one received
SPE signal.
All three LEDs in a row off indicate that all four
TDM pipes on the Line port are unprovisioned
or no STS-1s have been assigned to any of
the provisioned TDM pipes.
Line Port Yellow (L&R)
A steady yellow LED indicates an abnormal
condition of at least one transmitted SPE
signal as received at the far end. This is
"STS-1 Path RDI".
Flashing yellow and red LEDs indicate a loss of data clock from the unit
connected to the Line port.
Line Port Red (L&R)
A steady R/L red LED indicates either an abnormal condition on at least one
received SPE signal (Path AIS, High BER, frame sync check has failed), or an
SPE mismatch alarm (at least one of the SPEs received is not from an ETHER-
1000/ETHER-100 unit or it has not been assigned to the matching TDM pipe
24
, or
the far-end unit is not set to use the same number of slots for the respective TDM
pipe(s) or the order of SPEs received has been changed with respect to their
order at the far end, or the far-end ETHER-1000 is not the matching version).
Flashing yellow and red LEDs indicate a loss of data clock from the unit
connected to the Line port.
24
Not applicable if the far-end unit is ETHER-100.
