pipes on the port. The possible display values (shown in priority order)
are:
Clock Fail
– Line port is not connected;
CBW Rate
– The local Line Port Mode setting (see Line Setup tab)
is not matching the CBW port mode set on the JMUX unit

received STS-1 SPE;
Mismatch
– Indicates one of the following:
-
At least one of the received STS-1 SPEs is not from an ETHER-

34
or ETHER-100 unit, or
-
At least one of the received STS-1 SPEs has been assigned to
a wrong TDM pipe (at either or both ends), or
-
The far-end unit is not set to use the same number of SPE slots

35
, or
32
See
Line Setup
tab for information on how to provision a TDM pipe.
33
If the Line Port is connected to a cascaded ETHER-1000 unit, this indicates that the Line Port
Mode settings on the two units are not matching.
34
This alarm will appear at both ends of the STS-1 path interconnecting V1 and V3 ETHER-1000
units if it belongs to a TDM pipe with more than 16 provisioned STS-1 paths.
