4.3.4 RELAY CONFIGURATION
Setpoint – Relay Configuration
shows a dialog box to configure digital inputs, contact outputs and front panel LEDs, as
shown in Figure 4–11:
Figure 4–11: RELAY CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
Each input, output and LED can be assigned an individual function (status bit) or an OR of a group of functions. Functions
can also be assigned to virtual inputs and outputs, in order to allow greater flexibility when creating complex logics.
The meaning of the different columns is explained below:
•
INPUT/LED/OUTPUT
: Designates the respective element
•
I/O configuration
: the appearance and function of this column can be, depending on the state of the respective OR
checkbox column:
-
OR checkbox
is not checked: the element consists of a drop down list in which the user can select the function that
will activate the output or LED, or that will be activated by the input
-
OR checkbox
is checked: the element consists of a button that will activate a new window (see figure 4-12) where
the user can choose a sum of several functions that will activate the output or LED, or be activated by the input.
These functions are distributed in groups, and only functions in the same group can be chosen for the same OR
gate.
