The PROFINET Controller has received a
Return of Submodule PROFINET alarm from
a PROFINET device.

Submodule replied
negatively to Plug
configuration.
The PROFINET Controller received a
negative acknowledgement while
attempting to reconfigure a PROFINET
submodule that had been plugged back in to
a device.
Attempt reactivation of
submodule, by removing
the submodule and
reinserting it into its host
device.

PROFINET Controller
failed delivery of
fault to the
PACSystems
controller.
The PROFINET Controller was unable to
deliver to the PACSystems controller a fault
that was logged locally on the PROFINET
Controller. The fault will appear in the Local
Log of the PROFINET Controller, but will not
appear in the controller Fault Tables.

while processing
configuration.
The PROFINET Controller experienced a
failure while processing a new configuration.
Note:
The PACSystems controller that
delivered the configuration to the
PROFINET Controller should also log
its own unique failure fault in the
Controller Fault Table.

The PROFINET Controller has experienced a
generic error resulting from interactions
with the PROFINET Controller stack.
Possible causes include two or more
messages from the controller stack were
not received in the expected order.
This is an informational
fault. No action is
required.

The PROFINET Controller received a rejected
mail message from the CPU.
Contact customer service.

error on the
PROFINET
Controller.
The PROFINET Controller encountered an
error while processing mail received from
the PACSystems CPU (e.g. PROFINET
Controller received rejected mail from CPU).
None.

PROFINET Alarm
processing error
The PROFINET Controller has attempted to
ACK/NACK a PROFINET Alarm more than
once.
This is an informational
fault. No action is
required.

error trying to process a Service Request
from the CPU (e.g. a request to list all
PROFINET devices on the network)
