of Loctite on screws))

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING
The rotation gas spring has a larger mechanical energy when the tube head is at angles
of greater than 0°. To minimize the risk of rapid gas spring movement due to stored
mechanical energy, ensure that the Tube Head is set to 0° before you proceed.
WARNING
The Gantry must be powered off.

PREREQUISITES
•
Ensure that the orientation Tube Head is set to 0 degrees.
•
Switch off the Gantry power.
Remove the front covers and the column covers (refer to
Job Card PHY A044 - Remove/Reinstall
).
•
Switch on the Gantry power.
•
Use the lift command buttons to move the arm vertically until the two
springs (1) are fully visible in the opening at the rear of the column
frame.
•
Switch off the Gantry power.
•
Use bent needle-nose pliers to unhook and remove the two springs
from the curtains.
CAUTION
If the extremity of the spring slides out of the pliers, the
spring can fly out and cause injury.
TIP:
It is recommended that you use cable ties to temporarily attach
the lower curtain (2) to the coolant pipes so that the curtain does not
