Accelera Upgraded Control Stations
Some V2 Control Stations have been upgraded to V3 Control Stations, using the Accelera Upgrade Kit.
Upgraded Control Stations contain FRUs specific to the Accelera upgrade (such as a VGA-DVI Adaptor,
ADS-UPS Extension cable, and Ferrite Blocks), which are denoted by the compatibility code Acc.

Penduick V3 Control Stations
A new V3 "Penduick" Control Station exists, with the following changes:
•
No more AC multi-socket exists on the top shelf. The Ethernet Switch and LCD Monitor are now
directly connected to the UPS. As a result, the AC cables for the Ethernet Switch (5376554) and LCD
Monitor (5376551) are slightly longer in length.
•
A new RJ-45 service connector (5158907) exists on the middle shelf for service use, which is easily
accessible by simply removing the Omega Cover Side Panel rather than the entire Omega Cover.
When performing certain service operations, you can now connect a laptop to the Senographe net-
work via this new RJ-45 service connector rather than the Ethernet Switch on the top shelf.
•
The UPS support plate is now a different shape, such that there is no longer a panel between the
UPS and IDC.
•
New shorter Ethernet cables (2389288-2) exist between the IDC and Ethernet Switch, and between
the ADS and Ethernet Switch. An additional Ethernet cable (2389288-2) exists between the new
RJ-45 service connector and Ethernet Switch.
•
The Ethernet switch has moved from the top shelf to the bottom right of the Control Station towards
the rear of the U20 workstation.

V4 Control Stations
A new V4 Control Station exists, based on the V3 Control Station, with the following changes:
•
A new HP Z400 computer exists for the ADS Computer, replacing the Sun U20. As a result:
-
The HP Z400 computer has a display port, so the monitor is now connected to the ADS Computer
via a display port - DVI-I adaptor.
-
The two serial cards inserted into the Z400 computer are in the opposite order to the U20, so the
serial connections on the back of the ADS Computer are in opposite positions relative to the U20.
-
A new mouse and keyboard exist.
-
The Solaris Operating System on the Z400 computer uses Xorg server instead of Xsun server for
its X-Windows environment. Since Xorg auto-detects the signal from the monitor, kdmconfig is no
longer required to set monitor resolution.
-
The network interdace cards on the Z400 computer have different device names. Therefore, the
network related commands are the same as before, but use different device names for the net-
work interface cards.
•
A new mouse mat, which has better performance with optical mouses. The new mouse mat is back-
ward compatible, and must be used if you want to replace a mouse mat on an IB system.
•
A new Omega Cover with addition venting holes on the main side.
•
The RJ-45 connector for the hospital network is removed. Therefore, the hospital must be directly
connected to the ADS Computer.
•
Lean Packaging: The threaded holes to fix the delivery wheels, located under the Control Station
baseplate have moved. There are new threaded holes under located under the Control Station base-
plate to accommodate C-brackets for fixing the Control Station to a pallet. The packaging of the Con-
trol Station on the pallet is now different and uses C-shaped brackets to fix the base of the Control
Station to the pallet. The threaded holes under the Control Station baseplate do not impact the hole
positions of the fixation holes, which are still in the same position.
