VID:
indicates the VLAN identifier expected for receiving and
sending PTP messages. Allowed values are the VLAN range values
(from 1 to 4,095);
o
PCP:
Indicates Priority-Code-Point expected for receiving and
sending PTP messages, that is, the CoS bits value at a given PTP
Ethernet frame that will be accepted and forwarded by the
instance. Allowed values are PCP range values (from 0 to 7).
After one of the configurations described before is changed, there are buttons that
allow the user to save or discard the configurations and to cancel the menu.
o
Save
: save configuration at the Running Config;
o
Reset
: undo changes made locally at the Running Config.
After an instance is created, the Port List table will be shown; allowing user to
configure which ports would be member of the created instance. Possible
configuration is as follows.
o
Delete
: Delete the instance. Checkbox selected means instance
should be deleted after Save button is pressed, and checkbox
empty means that instance should be maintained at the Running
Config after the Save button is pressed;
o
Clock Instance
: shows clock instance, defined previously at the
Clock Instance field. This number is a hyperlink that can be used to
configure the instance, if required. Default instance configuration
should be enough to use Reason Switches to operate as PTP
transparent and boundary clocks, P2P or E2E path delay
mechanism, thus no extra settings are necessary at this hyperlink
to power system applications;

Device Type
: shows PTP clock type, defined previously at the
Device Type field;
o
Port List
: indicates all ports allowed to be members of the PTP
clock instance. Checkbox selected means that the port is a
member of the instance, and checkbox empty means that port is
not a member of the instance at the row.
