Software Restart
Reason Switches allows performing remote restart and reset functions. This chapter
provides information about the Restart Device and Factory Default menu.
If it is required to restart the equipment, the Restart Device can be accessed through
web interface, located in Maintenance menu (T1000 has a reset button that may be
used equally). The configuration running on the equipment will be discarded when a
Restart Device is performed. The switch will restart and at the booting process, the
startup-config (the configuration that will be used as running-config after the restart)
will replace the running config.
If it is required to restore the factory default, the Factory Defaults can be accessed
through web interface located in Maintenance menu. Alternatively, a loop between
ports 1 and 2 can be created before powering up the equipment to restore the
factory default settings.
