Hardware maintenance
Introduction
This section gives information about hardware maintenance on XDM and XDUO mixers.
This maintenance must be performed by the user or by qualified personnel at the cus-
tomer site.
Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the user to monitor the instrument. Regular functional verification
of the system should be undertaken to make sure that the equipment is functioning
properly, and to correct any problems before they have an operational impact. The
customer should maintain operational logs according to local site procedures.
All inspection and maintenance performed by the user should be carried out in a safe
operating manner using relevant health and safety standards and practices as estab-
lished within the country where the equipment is installed. Local provincial bylaws must
be followed. The owner of the instrument is responsible that relevant standards and
practices are followed and a safe operating environment is maintained.
Inspect jacking bolts
Verify that the jacking bolts are not damaged or worn. If damage to the bolts is found,
replace the bolts.
Contact your GE representative for purchasing information.
Replace burst disc
If the burst disc has ruptured and the cause for the rupture is known, the burst disc must
be replaced. Use only the replacement parts approved by GE.
If the cause for the rupture is not known, contact your GE representative.
