Residual Dangers
Dangerous situations can be avoided by safety-conscious and proactive behaviour of
the staff and by wearing personal protective equipment.
Electrostatically Endangered Components and Modules
The control top contains electronic components that are sensitive to electrostatic
discharge (ESD). Contact with electrostatically-charged persons or objects can
endanger these components. In the worst case they are destroyed immediately or fail
after being put into operation.
To minimize or prevent the possibility of damage resulting from sudden electrostatic
discharge,
•
observe the requirements of DIN EN 61340-5-1 and 5-2 and
•
take care not to touch the electronic components!

Effectively disconnect all components, effec-
tively prevent switch-on.
Electric power
Observe the following safety rules:
1
Isolate from the power supply.
2
Take appropriate measures to prevent switch
on.
3
Test absence of voltage.
4
Earthing and short-circuiting.
5
Cover or safeguard any adjacent live parts.

erty
Welding work can damage
electronics or cause loss of
data.
Do not carry out any welding work in the vicinity
of the control top or protect electronics profes-
sionally.
