MICROPHONE ELEMENTS
1. METAL MESH GRILLE
To protect the microphone diaphragm from possible damage caused by external factors.
2. DIECAST METAL BODY
This diecast metal body is designed to withstand on-the-road abuses for years of trouble-free use.
3. SENSITIVITY ATTENUATION SWITCH
The SENSITIVITY ATTENUATION switch when set at [0] position means no attenuation. At [-10dB] position,
the microphone sensitivity is fixed on -10dB level. This shortens the pickup distance, eliminates ambient
noise, and ensures distortion-free sound capturing. This function is usually used for high SPL and large
dynamic pickup occasions (i.e. the pickup of low frequencies instruments of symphony orchestra).
4. LOW FREQUENCY ATTENUATION SWITCH
Rumbling or wind noise may cause distortion at very low frequencies. The microphone's LOW FREQUENCY
ATTENUATION switch when set at [
] position further reduces low-end frequencies distortion. The filter
slope is more than 10dB/octave at 100Hz. The bass cut also minimizes the proximity effect that may arise
when doing close-in miking from less than 6 inches. At [ ] position, there is no attenuation.
5. INTEGRAL XLR MALE CONNECTOR
The GECKO® SATELLITE SRM 2020 has a balanced gold-plated XLR (male) output.
