NOTE
All working components of the GeVentor are
contained within its impermeable casing and do
not require cleaning.
The GeVentor Expiration Valve (GEV) is a single use component and should only be cleaned and re-used when the GEV is not
available from the Manufacturer. In cases where cleaning and disinfection of the GEV is required, standard approved autoclave
(thermal disinfection, steam sterilisation, other) techniques must be used.
8.2
Cleaning Agents and Disinfectants
The following cleaning agents have been used to clean the GeVentor with no detrimental outcomes on the integrity of the
GeVentor surfaces:
1.
Sumamed Super LPH detergent (Class I)
ARTG 128941
2.
Clinell Universal Wipes.
ARTG 299351
CAUTION
Cleaning agents and disinfectants used on the
GeVentor must be approved in the Australian
Register for Therapeutic Goods.
8.3
Maintenance Schedule
The maintenance schedule provided in the table below is a guideline provided the unit is operated according to its intended use
and in the environment of use stated in this IFU document. Failure to adhere to these may result in GeVentor conditions and
performance that are inconsistent with the intended outcomes of the maintenance schedule.
