. For the highest trimmer setting,
install the quick lock with adapter (C), followed by
both spacers (B) onto the shaft.
4.
Place Mow-Ball® bolt into the hex cavity of Mow-
Ball (A).
5.
While holding the Mow-Ball bolt head in place turn
Mow-Ball counterclockwise to start the bolt onto
the shaft.
6.
Continue turning the Mow-Ball until tight.

Maintaining Cord Head

See
. Remove Mow-Ball (A), quick lock
with adapter (B), and molded spacers (C) from
shaft. Do not remove anti-wrap canister. See
Figure 4-6. Cord Head Disassembly

. Remove the four screws (E) secur-
ing line plates (F) together with a 3 mm Allen wrench.

. Remove springs (G) and locking
cams (H) from the middle and bottom plates and
clean any grass or debris from springs and cams.

Clean all plates using a nylon brush and clean rag.
5.
Inspect springs and cams for damage. If any parts
are damaged, contact Generac Customer Service
at 1-888-436-3722 (1-888-GENERAC), or
to order a replacement.
6.
Reinstall springs and locking cams and verify
springs and cams are seated fully into plate grooves.
7.

. Assemble the plate and verify the
plates align properly. The four screw holes on top
must align and cutouts (I) should align from plate to
plate on the sides.
