To install the cards, follow these steps and see Figure 1-5.
1. Position the cards in the top and bottom slot guides with the GDC logo on top, and carefully
slide the card into the slot until it stops at the rear backplane connectors.
2. Push the front panel with both hands until the assembly seats in the rear connector.
3. Secure the card by tightening the front panel screws with a screwdriver.
4. Any card may be placed in any slot, with the exception of the platform card, which must be
placed in slot 1 (the left most slot when looking at the front panels).
Filler Panels
All unused slots must be filled with filler panels to prevent accidental contact with
telecommunication voltages present on the cards.
